Hey ANW movie geeks!

Seen Kong: The Skull Island yet? I heard the cinemas have been packed full with people rushing in to see it. Haven’t had the opportunity to see it myself. So is this true or false?

Now as movie geeks, we must confess we’ve seen a lot of crap CGI adaptation of King Kong as well as many reboots, but from all the reviews I’ve been getting for this year’s reboot of King Kong in Kong: The Skull Island, hmmm there seem to be a lot of improvement. Even in the chambers of the Rotten Tomatoes, our tight-fitted critics gave it a 78%. Now, I think that’s impressive, compared to the previous sad adaptation and visual production of the movie.

Right now, it is currently one of the top 10 box offices, ranking at number two with a budget of $27.9 million, but has made roughly $109 million since three weeks of showtime.

Not to bore you any further, especially for those that do not know what The Kong movie is all about, here is a synopsis of this year’s reboot.

“Scientists, soldiers and adventurers unite to explore a mythical, uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean. Cut off from everything they know, they venture into the domain of the mighty Kong, igniting the ultimate battle between man and nature. As their mission of discovery soon becomes one of survival, they must fight to escape from a primal world where humanity does not belong”

This movie starred Tom Hiddleston(The dude from Thor, known as Loki) as Captain James Conrad, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and more top notch actors.

So if you’ve seen it, what do you think about the movie? Was it worth the N1, 500/N2000 you paid to see it? Was this year reboot better than previous years? How was the visual effect and animation? What about the story line? Was there any punchline? Would you recommend the movie?

If you haven’t seen it, why don’t you check it out this weekend and come back to let me know what you think?  I can’t wait to read what you think.
