NOW THAT WE ARE MARRIED, CAN WE WATCH PORN?

So it has occurred to me that a lot of young adults these days now see marriage as the ultimate reality television for all the sexual perversion they have in mind, and I really don’t blame them. They think once they are married, they can now indulge in all the sexual adventures and escapades they have seen either in movies or read in books.

And granted, isn’t that what our fathers and mothers and even our pastors tell us?

“Quincy bịa ebe a! You see all these backyard love you are sneaking to go and do…When you marry, you go do am so tei, e go tire you..so chere biko…chere. Keep ya self for ya husband”

“Bia is it kiss you have not kiss before? Wait till you have married my dear. You will kiss and tire”
And that is how we are all kukuma waiting for the marriage to come so that we can kiss in peace.
Abi no be so?
Since they say we should not do it before marriage, we should kukuma wait till we are married and then UNLEASH THE DRAGON!!!!.

But, the truth of the matter is, our parents and ministers lied to us. They did not tell us the whole truth. Nah, they didn’t. From what I have gathered from my married friends or at least the ones that conji want to finish, they didn’t tell us that there are going to be days wifey will not be in the mood or there will be moments when no matter what sexy lingerie Aunty wears or how much she twerks, brother will not be moved to do giga-giga.

 Nah they did not.
They didn’t also mention that it is not all the sexual fantasies that we have envisioned that Oga or Aunty will like,(take for instance, there are those that do not like orals or anals) or tolerate or enjoy and that sometimes, man/woman would just have to find a way to help themselves out especially when Oga or Aunty is not willing, not available or just downright wicked. i.e they have no choice but to masturbate (read more about masturbation here).

However during our masturbation gist, we mentioned pornography as one of the visual stimulants young adults subscribe to, to help them masturbation and ease their sexual tension and even as dicey as the issue of masturbate is, a lot of people have insisted it has helped them stay faithful to their partners, helped them avoid S.T.DS and other moral complications that come with premarital sex.

For those that do not know what “porn” is, here is the Merriam Webster dictionary definition.

Porn is a word derived from the word Pornography which means movies, pictures, magazines, etc, that show or describe naked people or sex in a very open and direct way in order to cause sexual excitement.

So even in marriages, a lot of couple use porn as one of the great ways to revive or boost their sexual life. More interestingly, a lot of Christian couples do not see anything wrong in watching porn. Yeah. They believe as long as they are married, they have the license to watch as much porn as they like; that their sexual life is no man’s business, including God.

And I beg to differ.

Sex unfortunately is still a sacred duty, married or not married. Marriage does not in any way alter or change its sacredness. This is why no matter how tired or exhausted having kpokus with your wife or husband gets, Brother or Sister you gat to keep doing it with him or her o. God does not want to come and hear that is how the okro is no longer sweet, it does not draw as before so you nau want Eguisi. Wooh! the thunder and brimstone that will come upon you eh, it will not be here o.

It is also the reason young adults especially the women are advised to wait till they are married because besides being a big deal emotionally, it is a sacred communion between a man and a woman and God takes sacredness pretty seriously.

It is also the reason I ‘personally’ think pornography is an offensive way to boost or revive one’s sex life with his or her partner. Have you tried communication? I don’t think there is any greater kpokus than the one that was well-communicated. Believe it or not, all porn has ever done to young adults and couples alike, is expose them to unrealistic sexual escapades. And I can already imagine some people looking at me with bad eye and saying “nah, Quincy you don’t know what you are saying. Nah you don’t”

Issorait! Kukuma leaf it that. Leaf it like that for me. Is it your talk? Is it not my own? If you don’t like it, biko write your own nau. Talk your own. There is a comment box at the bottom of this post…Write l’us see.

See in as much as I agree that watching porn broadens your mind to more illicit images/video and spiritual destruction, it still leaves your mind corrupted. See it as downloading a ghen-ghen Hollywood movie filled with viruses. You enjoy the movie but then, you are left with viruses to fight with later.

Worse is that, husbands start wishing their wives were porn-stars. Some even go as far as comparing their wives’ physical features, mannerism and appeal to the ones they’ve seen in the videos. More interestingly, they start demanding that their wives act the exact way they’d seen, in the bedroom.

And you will start seeing women somersaulting over the bed because Oga wants it the gymnastics way or Aunty wants it bigger so Uncle has no choice but to go and do enlargement.

One sister even complained and said that her husband would be like:

“Nkem be adventurous nau!.Stop staying like that. What’s strong with you sef?!”

“Is it not your mate that was doing it the way I told you? Is it not your mate?”

And when she can’t do it or satisfy him the way he’d expected, he goes about disappointed and we all know what’s likely to happen next.

Wooh! I don’t know about you, but I don’t think porn helps in anyway, married or otherwise. There is also the major fact that it could get pretty addictive for some people and that there are some who may not be able to tear themselves from its unrealistic nature.

But enough about what I think…what do you think? Do you think marriage provides the ideal cover for all kinds of sex? Do you think there is nothing wrong with watching porn as long as you are married? Can’t wait to read what you think. Kindly leave your thoughts on the comment box below.
